What is ketamine?

Ketamine (or K, Ket, Special K, Super K, Vitamin K, or horse tranquiliser) is a drug that is used legitimately for a variety of medical purposes. However, some people also abuse ketamine because of its hallucinogenic effects.

Operation Shore

Lancashire Police’s work on reducing ketamine abuse is called Operation Shore. This campaign aims to stop ketamine supply in Lancashire using two routes:

Why is ketamine dangerous?

Abusing ketamine can hurt or even kill you. These are just some of its negative impacts on your body:
